Starfish

Instead of listening to a story this week we made up our beach story about two children who went to the beach and met a dolphin and whale, went swimming underwater with them, found a treasure chest full of gold and jewels, took it back to the beach, had fight with some pirates and won, put the treasure chest in a speedboat and then got away!  What fab storytellers in Starfish class.

We played a game where we did actions for different creatures that can be found at the beach and in the sea.  We were starfish, jellyfish, limpets, crabs and a sand hopper.

We then saw the lifeboat was coming into shore.  We went over to see them.  They told us that a new crew member was being trained.  They went very fast!

After that we played with some diggers and dumper tracks transporting the sand on the beach.  Some of us went on a treasure hunt looking for something blown by the wind, round, smooth, tickly, soft and something with two colours.  We also found some beautiful shells and some sea glass.  Mrs G even found us a sea anemone shell!
