Orcas

A rather mild morning for the last Beach School of 2024! Orcas were paired with children from the Starfish class for their walk down today. We started our session, as always, with a Worship by the Waves. Next, a whole school collaborative Christmas Tree, it is always so nice to see the older children care, nurture and support the younger children. Orcas then moved to their task of data collection. Yesterday the class investigated a map of Embleton and discussed which parts were highly populated, mid populated and less so. We devised a route and carried out a survey where we observed what different forms of transport travelled through each part during a specific time period. The data was then placed into a bar graph.

Starfish

Today on the beach we joined with the rest of the school to make a huge seaweed Christmas tree.  We then listened to the story of ‘Little Star’s Bright Shine’.  After that we recorded some scenes for our Starfish class nativity video.
