Orcas

We rerouted this week and began our day at the quarry. Jumping straight in we became investigators and explored the natural environment and naming the different objects in which we found - amazing well done to Lucas who actually found a fossil - which looked like a ammonite fossil.

After that, we completed our stop drop and draw. Taking 1000 steps around the quarry area - we were even joined by a goat or two, one of which wanted to try to eat a few bags!

Moving to the Golf Club, we had a quick lunch and then moved to the beach where an epic game of rounders began! Special mention to both team captains - Charlie and Oscar!

Continuing with the John Muir award the children learned how on one of his investigations he found himself on the side of the hill and needed to perform the highland fling to keep himself warm - the class then practiced and performed their own routines.

Then it was back to school for Newsround and a bit of Goodnight Mr Tom.

What a day!
