Worship by the Waves 16.05.25

Today is National Love a Tree Day.  There were lots of presents to unwrap in worship today.  All the presents were made of things that trees have given us.  There was a pencil, a rubber, a wooden ruler, a book, some paper,  a bottle of olive oil, an apple, a banana, a wooden toy,  wooden spoon, a wooden cross and a wooden bowl.  We thought about all the other benefits, such as medicines, furniture, houses, homes for animals and compost too.  The last parcel was and leaf and we found out that one vital gift of trees is that their leaves as they act as 'vacuum cleaners' to help keep our air clean. They absorb carbon dioxide and give out oxygen, helping us live and breathe.  In small groups we made some trees from resources we found on the beach.
We had some reflection time where we thought about the importance of trees and said a thank you for trees prayer.
