Orcas

A calm morning down at the beach for Seals and Orcas today, for a long time we were the only ones on the beach this morning!

Orcas day began with a recap of the description of the Highwayman, they then made the character using natural materials. Then working in pairs they were given a stanza to perform. Mrs Brealey then recorded them as they performed their stanza - there were some interesting movements and props used.

A brisk walk to the bird hide and the children discussed bird migration and the different types of migration - including longitudinal and latitudinal migration and how the birds' needs were needing to be met in different countries and comparing this to what we learnt the day before in the Geography lesson. The children then sketched what remaining birds were left.

We then came back to school for our Christmas performance rehearsal.
