First week back was jam packed with learning.

We started our new English unit which is poetry.  We looked at some poems from a book called Marshmallow Clouds.  We read them and looked at some key features. We also got into groups to learn, recite and perform some poems to the rest of our class.

In maths we were looking at multiplication and division.  We were looking at making equal groups by sharing and also by grouping.

We started our new history unit for this half term which is Castles and Monarchs.  We discussed what we thought a monarch was before learning about how someone becomes a monarch.  We then explored King Charles III and found out some more information about him.  On Thursday we shared our castles homework with each other.  We explained how we made them and where our inspiration came from.  We had fun playing with them during our independent learning.

On Wednesday we had PE with Sam which is always fun and on Thursday we took a walk along to the Creighton Hall to learn about Polling Day.  We went inside to learn about how to cast a vote and take a look at what the polling booths look like.  This was part of our PSHE on democracy.

BIG MATHS promotions this week went to ARCHIE, EDIE, ELEN and ELIJAH.  Well done to you all.

Have a lovely weekend
