13/12/24

Highlight of the week has to go to the wonderful Christmas play performance of The Landlord’s Cat!  Each and every one of them did amazingly well – it is so daunting having to step on stage in front of lots of people!  Well done everyone!

We have also spent this week finishing off bits of our units.  We finished off our art unit on clay by making our final piece of a clay house tile.  We had to remember all the techniques we have been taught including the slip and score method of joining pieces of clay together.

In English, we looked at all of the emotions and moods that the main character Rocket goes through at different parts of the text and gave reasons as to why she was feeling like that.  We related these changes to our own moods and emotions that we might feel in a day.  In maths we were completing some problem solving and reasoning questions using the column method.  We found these rather tricky so we are going to revisit them next term.

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch complete with crackers and silly jokes on Thursday!  Thank you Mandy – same time next year?!?

BIG MATHS promotions this week go to; JOSEPH, LUCY and JESSIE.  Well done on your continued hard work.

STAR OF THE WEEK this week went to EDIE.  Edie has tried hard all term and this showed in her end of term assessment results last week – Excellent work Edie.

Enjoy the weekend and then we just have 4 more days to get through.  We’ve got this – let’s hope the bugs stay away until after Christmas!
