This week in Seal Class, we have engaged in a variety of stimulating activities across the curriculum that I am delighted to share with you.

In Maths, we have been continuing our exploration of place value, investigating different representations of numbers. This foundational concept will greatly enhance the children's numerical confidence and proficiency.

In our English lessons, we studied the text Ug the Boy Genius, where we focused on describing the main characters. The children demonstrated creative thinking and analytical skills as they delved into the characters' traits and motivations. Additionally, we examined the key features of a comic, discussing the author's decisions in relation to narrative and visual storytelling.

In Art, the students enjoyed creating their own cave paintings, tapping into their imaginative abilities while learning about early human creativity.

In Science, we furthered our understanding of the digestive system, focusing on the roles of the main organs. Furthermore, through hands-on experimentation, we explored enquiry skills by investigating the reactions of bicarbonate soda with water, fairy liquid, and various acids, fostering curiosity and scientific thinking.

I would also like to congratulate Rosie Br. for being our Star of the Week, recognising her exemplary attitude and efforts in class.
