On Monday we travelled to Alnwick to take part in a multi skills festival organised by the Newcastle United Foundation.  We learnt lots of new skills whilst having fun at the same time.   We can’t wait to take part in more festivals in the future.

We began our multiplication and division unit this week.  We have also been completing some reading comprehensions – learning how to read and understand the questions carefully.

In art we were learning how to draw hummingbirds – we followed a step by step YouTube tutorial at the carpet first before heading to our tables to have a go following the instructions on paper. There were some impressive results – well done to everyone for persevering! In computing we were working on our own presentations on a topic of our own choosing.  In two weeks’ time we are going to present these presentations to the rest of the class. Sam joined us again on Wednesday to do some more throwing and catching skills and games with us.  We began by using a football to help us develop our skills.

STAR OF THE WEEK this week went to JOSEPH.  Joseph made a great job of writing his notes from the videos and turning them into sentences.  Well done!

BIG MATHS promotions went to JOSEPH, LUCY, PENNY and FEDIR.  Hard work is really paying off – well done.

Have a lovely weekend.
