This week in Seal Class, we have had an exciting time delving into various subjects across our curriculum. In English, we used our history studies as inspiration for our writing activities. The children have been immersing themselves in the perspective of either a Viking or an Anglo-Saxon arriving in Britain, crafting imaginative narratives.

During our history lessons, we focused on the settlement of the Anglo-Saxons in Britain, exploring the reasons behind their migration and how they established themselves in a new land. This has provided a rich context for our English writing tasks and has allowed the children to deepen their understanding of historical events.

In Science, the children have been learning about the different parts of a flowering plant and their functions in the process of photosynthesis. Understanding how plants grow and thrive is crucial, and the students have been engaged in hands-on experiments to observe the effects of various factors on plant growth.

Additionally, in Design and Technology, our pupils completed their phone cases project and have now embarked on creating bookmarks, focusing on mastering a variety of stitching techniques. It's been wonderful to see their creativity and skills develop throughout these practical tasks.

We are proud of the progress and enthusiasm displayed by our students this week and look forward to further explorations and learning adventures in the coming weeks.
