This week, we began an exciting new unit in English all about traditional tales. We had lots of great discussions about the key features of these stories and shared some of the ones we already know and love. To our surprise, we even received a letter from Jack—yes, Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk! It was a fun and imaginative way to dive into our new topic.

In Maths, we’ve been learning all about measuring in centimetres. We practised comparing objects to see which were bigger or smaller, and had fun finding things to measure both in the classroom and on the beach.

In Design and Technology, we’ve been busy bringing our own monsters to life! We began by exploring different ways to make them move, experimenting with pivots, levers, and linkages. After testing out the options, we decided to use linkages for our final designs. We had lots of fun sketching out our monster ideas and have now started the exciting process of making them. We can’t wait to see how they turn out!

This week, we started our new PSHE unit on economic wellbeing. We began exploring ideas around money, how it’s earned, saved, and spent. It’s an important topic that helps us understand how to make sensible choices and think about our futures.

BIG MATHS promotions this week went to ELISE, ELEN and WILLIAM.  Well done to you all.

Have a lovely weekend
